Abelia: Sweet flowers for your garden

Looking for an addition to your butterfly and hummingbird garden? Recycled Gardens has lots of large Abelia in 5-gallon pots, as well as a few small ones in the 1-gallon size.

Abelia is a versatile small to medium sized shrub of the Honeysuckle family. It has attractive small flowers of white, pink or purple shades that attract butterflies and hummingbirds. It blooms in the summer and into fall, making
it attractive for later season interest in our northwest gardens.

Abelia leaves are evergreen or semi-evergreen depending on the variety. Glossy Abelia in particular is special, as the leaves retain their reddish foliage all summer long.

Abelias are superior plants for hedges. They also are suitable for borders and for containers or above ground planters. And they can be trained to beautifully cascade down a wall.

Abelias do best in a sunny place.
