“My cat is doing really well since her spay on Wednesday.  I'm very thankful that I was able to get the $10 spay, which allowed us to get her spayed sooner than later. Thank you very much.” ~ C.F.

“Bene & Schimmia were spayed Tuesday at AMC. They seemed no worse for wear. I, on the other hand, ran around last night cajoling them -"I said no jumping! No playing! No Licking! No fighting! NO! Sit down!" I was exhausted! I brought cookies to the vet and had a nice talk with one of the workers there who takes in strays and finds homes. Thank you and the girls thank you.” ~ L.D.

“She's doing wonderful thanks, stitches healed just fine. She has calmed down in behavior as well…does not seem to be eating as much…Thanks for checking in.” ~ K.H.

“My kitty Charlemagne (Charlie for short) just got spayed on Monday with the help of your program.  Thank you very much for helping make this possible!  I would not have been able to afford the procedure without your help.  Both Charlie and I thank you very much!” ~ A.P.

“Thank you sooooooooo very much.  I took my tom cat named Leo in this morning to the vet.  They were extremely courteous. Thanks for your help and information...and this way Leo won't be chasing all the girls around the neighborhood now!!!” ~ M.C.

“My income as a Homecare Worker is $300 per month. My client is a family member and I live with her. These kittens keep her entertained and she is very close to them, they have become her devoted companions. I can only hope that we can be helped. I have sought other programs, but those are depleted of funds and this seems to be all that is left for us to try. Thank you for the chance.”  ~ B.G.

“I've undergone some serious medical things recently and I'm just getting back on my feet, I would never normally take in animals without being able to take care of them. I think it's amazing that there are people like you who don't just love animals but help us make sure that ours won't add to the genocide on unwanted critters. I can't tell you how much I appreciate that you contacted me via e-mail.” ~ J.J.

“Thank you for your assistance.  All the people at the clinic were very kind and caring.  I will take care of this sweet boy and either add him to my household or hopefully find him an appropriate home.  It's a big relief to have him neutered though.  I really couldn't afford to neuter a second stray this month, but he really needed to "get off the streets," so [your service] was a huge blessing.  As timid as this fellow is, I'm not sure how long he would have survived.” ~ S.F.

“Just a quick, but heart felt thank you from [our] family Thank you so much for the gift you share with all of us pet owners. Your organization helps a lot of pet owners and we are all very thankful!!!!! We all thank everyone who volunteers and gives so generously to your organization. Sophia will be a "new" woman in just a few days.

“Celeste, special thanks to you for seeing me through this process. I got the check this morning. I appreciate your many emails and the time you took trying to help me with the boys. Take heart I will continue to work on this issue through the neighborhood.” ~ M.U.

“Also just a little history about these two dogs. They are both rescues. Sherman was starved after he was purchased and was left on the breeders driveway and he almost died he does have tendon problems in his back legs and doesn't walk right. Tut is actually Sherman's dad the breeders” had to move” and could not take him with them so the new owners agreed to keep the dog until some one would take him. Well he never got a new home and the new owners of the house left town and didn’t feed him which ultimately ended in animal control getting him. Have been feeding him and caring for him and he has turned into a little angel. Okay, not little angel, a BIG angel. But being both males unfixed I have dominance issues which are causing trouble and desperately need the help to get them fixed. It takes all I have to feed them plus all my human children let alone get them fixed. But [with] your assistance…I can give them a better life and make things a little easier around here.” ~ H.W.

“Thanks So much. We are much happier and Tigger is too.” ~ G.T.

“With my husband being in the military and having small children the $10 spay is really all we can afford. I have been looking around and some clinics are charging over $200 for each cat. We had considered not having them spayed at all with it being so expensive. So your organization is a HUGE help to our family.” ~ J.M.

“Thank you for your response!  I had no idea that cats ran a risk of getting cancer if they are not spayed.  I took her in when she was a kitten, but unfortunately, I never had enough money to spay her. I thought that I would just keep her inside, but now she goes into heat every two weeks and drives my dog and me crazy!  We can't even get sleep at
night…!  I appreciate all your help!” ~ C.H.

“I wanted to write and say Thank You… I love my Ash very much, and it hurt me to see her go into heat, but not be able to do anything for her.  She just went through her first 'heat' and it was terrible for her. Now that she's had her surgery (and is fully recovered) I don't have to worry as much about her.” ~ A.W.

“My kitties went for their spay and neuter this past Wednesday, the 16th.  They came home a little drunk and wobbly  (*giggle*), but content and snuggly.   They are both recovering very well, happy and playful.   It is such a relief for me to finally have that taken care of.   Thank you so very, very much!!!” ~ M.A.

“Thank you for your quick response and all of your help.  I have actually been waiting to do this when I could afford it.  My sister in law told me about you guys and I thought I better jump on it, I don't want any little "itty bitty's" running around! This is a great program and it takes a lot of stress off of people about their pets.” ~ B.M.

“Jumper is healed up, slightly less aggressive, and slightly more cuddly than previously. Not to mention the neighborhood won't be overflowing with Jumper's offspring” ~ M.T.

“Sometimes it is so hard hanging in there when so many negative things seem to be working against a person.  My cat has been a great source of inspiration and as soon as I can get some money I want to personally make a contribution to your kind and loving place.” ~ K.H.

“I just wanted to say thank you again for your wonderful spay/neuter program which helped me to get Leah spayed. I'd been having a lot of health problems with no medical insurance so I was worried about the cost of getting Leah spayed until I saw a flyer for POPPA. Leah was a little woozy and seemed as if she had found a dish of Kahlua and cream, but she recovered pretty quickly. She was spayed on March 20 and now, two days later, she is energetic and playing like normal.” ~ S.G.

“Just wanted to send you a quick note about Simba. He was neutered on April 1st and things are going well. He was very happy when we went to pick him up and is really loving and cuddly lately. We haven't had any more problems with him "marking" and I'm thankful for that. Thank you for all of your assistance. . And thank you for this wonderful assistance you provide to loving families of kitties. It was a Godsend definitely. I hope that you’re able to continue this for many years. We definitely do need to help keep the cat population down. ” ~ R.C.

“Thank you so much for helping me out with my new stray friend Mr. Hand. I have noticed that ever since he has been neutered he comes around my house more often. That means that I can keep an eye on his health and make sure that he eats every day. He also seems to be more mellow and lets me pet him more.” ~ M.W.

“Thank you so much for helping me get "Little Dude" fixed. He's a much happier and kinder bunny now!” ~ L.H.

“You guys are great.” ~ E.R.

“Thanks for all your help and patience.” ~ E.K.

“As a low income person who spends all her extra money on her pets, I am very thankful for the donation made by POPPA towards getting my cat neutered. It is wonderful that an organization acts responsibly for their community’s pet population by assisting owners with necessary care for the health and happiness of their pets. It was a great relief to me to receive a discount when getting my cat fixed, so that I would in turn have more money towards his care. Thank you.” ~ M.B.

“We really appreciate your assistance with our kitties. We had planned on just one kitty, but the brother cats were too bonded to separate. They are a funny, sweet, rowdy little team together and we all are enjoying them, especially our kids. Our two kitties were taken care of on Monday. They were real nice and the kitties recovered quickly. Thanks again for your support and care of animals...and people.” ~ J.S.

“God bless everyone associated to your organization for making the lives of cat lovers like us as well as for the cats they own much more happier. The cats will be taken care of, and we owe it all to your Special.  Without it there was no way we could not have afforded it. Again, thank you so much.” ~ R.Y.

“Thank you for your service!  Both of the boys already seem mellower, and everyone seems really happy.  They're definitely not peeing on anything anymore, which is half of the battle.” ~ H.S.

“Thanks so much for all the help! Siren will be MUCH happier! This service has been a blessing.” ~ R.F.

“I was able to get my kitty spayed before she went into heat for the first time--just in time. Rocky is a "Look what followed me home--Can I keep it?" stray who turned out to be not the raccoon cat my son thought she was, but a Snow-Shoe Siamese, and a real love. I could describe all her charming points that make us so fond of her--I can't imagine why someone would dump this adorable kitten by the side of the road--but my story of Rocky would take pages. Just saying thanks might be enough. We have a wonderful pet and you all did a great job.” ~ S.S.

“I have two wonderful kittens who need to be fixed soon, and heck, I am barely living paycheck to paycheck. I would love to be able to set up appointments for the two of them~ soon.” ~ J.B.

“I'm a disabled person who loves cats and somehow always ends up with the stray neighborhood cats living at my house with my family.  We have unavoidably had kittens three or four times now and always found good homes for all of them but I just don’t have the energy to deal with another litter this time.”

“Please point me in the right direction for assistance in spaying my three cats.  One is probably already pregnant and one is full blown in heat and tearing up the house and one is our youngest who will probably go into heat in another month or so.”

“I thank you in advance for your help, in the past we have always tried to keep the cats indoors but with kids it seems they always find a way out and we end up with kittens again, which I love but my health will not let me deal with again.” ~ R.H.

“I am happy to let you know that both my baby boys have been successfully unmanned. I went to the veterinary clinic and I am exceedingly happy with the results. One of my kitties sustained massive head trauma when he was very small and they were very understanding of his limitations and kept an extra close eye on him when he was recovering from his operation. They were also nice enough to let both my boys bunk together and reported back that big brother Taco was extra protective of his slower brother Gir.  Thank you very much for this service! My kitties are home safe and slightly wobbly.” ~ E.M.

“Thank you so much for all that you have done for me.” ~ M.K.

“We live in a rural area with a LOT of feral cats (in fact, I just went outside and found a new one in our yard) and, thus, we seem to be overrun with kitties.  The first litter was kind of fun, and we were able to pay for the mother to get fixed (after she, lucky for us, had another litter of 1 kitten) and hoped we could later to get the money to get the girls fixed or find them a home.  Unfortunately, as I'm sure you're well aware, cats/kittens aren't in the highest of demand.  We wish sooo much to get the cat population in my area under control, but with the cost to spay/neuter a cat so high, we're just unable to afford it.  As I'm sure you've heard many times before, it just gets more and more out of control with all the unfixed stray cats that show up at our house.  I really don’t want to take them to the pound and just add to their troubles, but I'm not sure how else to get this under control.  I saw that you were having a promotion of $10 to spay and neuters for cats.  Thank you very much for your time and I appreciate your service to animals.” ~ K.O.

“Thank you so very much for the help in getting our mama and baby girls spayed!! I recently rec'd help from you for cats, both female and male. I SO appreciate the help, as my finances don't allow me to help my animals like I would wish, but I continue to do my best in keeping them safe and happy. We had been wanting to get it done and now because of you we were able to!! Winnie and Mini Winnie are all healed up and doing great!! ” ~ T.P.
