Flower Pot Recycling

Do you have a pile of unwanted plastic pots hiding in or behind a shed in your yard? Well, Recycled Gardens recently partnered with Agri Plas in Keizer to form a recycling program for those very pots. The way it works is, RG will become the drop spot in the Portland area where gardeners can bring their dirty old plastic pots. For a $5.00 donation we'll stack and store them until we have several pallets full. What happens after we collect a pallet-full is Agri Plas picks them up, cleans them, and then resells them to the nursery industry! It's a real win-win situation for gardeners, Recycled Gardens, and the environment. 

What is accepted

Remember, we can ONLY accept standard plastic nursery pots, 1-gallon size and larger. We also accept flats, but ONLY open flats, nothing with divisions or compartments meant to hold 4-inch or round pots.

What is NOT accepted

NO 4- inch annual pots, NO hanging baskets, NO flimsy plastic house plant pots - these are all garbage to us too and we will have to sort them out and find someone to haul them to the dump, at our expense, if you mix them in with the recyclables.  We also will not accept flats with divisions or compartments meant to hold 4-inch or round pots.

How much does it cost?

All donations of pots, no matter how many or how few, must be accompanied by a $5 cash donation in order for this program to work as a fundraiser.

Great, When can I drop them off?

Pots should be delivered to Recycled Gardens during regular business hours, 10-5, Thursday through Sunday. Please do not disturb the residents of the property by coming out when we are not open. Thank you.    See our hours and location.
